EXPLORE A BEAUTIFUL CENOTE ON A PADDLEBOARD

Standup paddle in a cenote plus snorkeling in a nearby lagoon (full day only) with this amazing and unique Aloha tour.

This is a beautiful and popular cenote and great for swimming and snorkeling. Standing up on a paddleboard will give you a unique view of the crystal clear waters below you.

The cenote has a connection with the sea, which makes the water brackish and a good home to all kinds of fish and birds. If we’re lucky we might even have an encounter with a crocodile named ‘Panchito’ that comes here to sunbathe. Don’t worry, Panchito is a good boy and used to people.

Cenote Manati is located a 50 minute drive from Playa del Carmen heading to Tulum and it is a great spot for swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving and freediving. The calm and clear water also make it the perfect spot for people who paddle for the first time.

This is a nice and relaxed activity that we can do under all weather conditions. The area we go to is well traveled and very safe.

ITINERARY

This private cenote tour comes standard with snorkeling in laguna Yal Ku on the way back (in case of the full day trip), close to Akumal. Yal Ku is home to many tropical fish species and can’t be missed! All entrances fees are included.

Transportation  Photos Water & snacks Tacos Bob Marley

8:00

Pick up at the pick up location at Fusion beach calle 6 Norte or at your hotel/ resort/ villa if this is possible. You either travel in the car with us  which we use to transport the boards, or in case of larger groups we will arrange a comfortable private van for you.

9:30

Around this time, after unloading and sometimes inflating the boards, we will enter the cenote. After a short introduction if needed, we paddle and snorkel in the beautiful cenote Manati (snorkel gear available) for about 90 minutes.

11:00

Exit cenote and you can spend some time on the beach in front and maybe have a drink or two at the restaurant (not included) while we handle the equipment.

12:00

Around 12:00 we will drive to Yal Ku close to Akumal (or any other option that you picked). In case of the half day option we will head to our favorite taco place close to Puerto Aventuras around this time.

13:00

Snorkeling in the beautiful inlet of Yal Ku with hopefully many fish that we will see (snorkel gear available)

14:30

We will leave the water and get ready for the best tacos in the Riviera Maya!

15:00

Tacos in Puerto Aventuras. This taco restaurant next to the highway is one of our favorite taco places and a very popular option for many travelers on the way to Tulum.

16:00

We will arrive back in Playa del Carmen at Fusion where you’re more than welcome to stay and enjoy the beach, or we arrive at your pickup location depending on your preferences.

Snorkeling in Yal Ku is the standard addition to the full day cenote tour. Since this a private tour we can be flexible depending on your wishes.

Instead snorkeling in Yal Ku we can decide, even while we’re on our way already, to choose one of the following alternatives:

 Xcacel

One of the most beautiful beaches you can find in the Riviera May and a great spot for some more paddleboarding (if weather permits) or to just relax and enjoy ourselves.

If time permits we can also visit a small cenote on walking distance from the beach.

Puerto Aventuras

We can explore the canals here paddleboarding and even visit a hidden caleta (inlet) if the sea is calm enough.

Puerto Aventuras is a community with many beautiful villas and vacation houses and the canals are the perfect place for paddleboarding.

Xpu Ha

Xpu Ha beach is on the way back to Playa del Carmen and a very nice and less crowded beach.

If the weather is good we can take our paddleboards and go explore the nearby reef which is easily accesible from the beach.

“Highlight of our trip! Definitely recommend!!! Without Aloha Paddle Club, I don’t think our trip would have been as enjoyable as it was. We will definitely be coming back to Mexico, and most of all… signing up for another paddle boarding trip!”
